Let’s look back at how it all began.
How did September become
Apple’s biggest month?
Apple’s biggest month?
Apple’s tradition of global presentations began not with September, but with one person. On January 9, 2007, at the Macworld conference in San Francisco, Steve Jobs unveiled the first iPhone, calling it a “revolutionary and magical product.” Since then, Apple presentations have gone far beyond regular product announcements and become events watched simultaneously by tens of millions of people worldwide — from Cupertino to Yerevan.
After Steve Jobs stepped down in 2011, Tim Cook continued the presentation tradition. Since 2012, Apple has regularly unveiled its new flagship iPhone models in the fall, most often in September. Since 2017, its major events have taken place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park and have been streamed live worldwide.
Today, Apple’s September presentation is both a technology showcase and an annual tradition that brings millions of people together.
