The fall presentation is the main event of fall 2024 for Apple fans. Year after year, the company continues to surprise us with new products. On September 9, at the event called “It’s Glowtime,” Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Series 10, the black Apple Watch Ultra 2, AirPods 4 in two versions, and the star of the show—the iPhone 16. Let’s break it down step by step.

Apple Watch Series 10

The world’s best-selling watch has become thinner than ever. It features a larger, more modern display, faster charging, and sensors for depth and water temperature. Apple placed special emphasis on health monitoring when creating this device. The watch is powered by the S10 processor, which supports Apple’s signature AI functions. One of its standout features is the ability to notify you in case of sleep apnea.

Elegant Design and New Features

Even more powerful, intelligent, and refined, the Apple Watch Series 10 is the thinnest in the lineup. A new watch face, Flux, has been specially designed for the Series 10 display. The enlarged screen offers 30% more active display area compared to the Apple Watch Series 4, Series 5, and Series 6. With more lines of text fitting on the display, it’s now even easier to interact with information on the new watch.

Two Case Options and Three Colors

For the first time, the watch comes in a polished aluminum finish. Additionally, the Apple Watch Series 10 is available in an aerospace-grade titanium case, replacing the stainless steel used in previous generations.

The aluminum Apple Watch 10 comes in three colors: black, gold, and silver. The titanium models are available in black, gold, and natural titanium finishes.

The Most Elegant

The Apple Watch Series 10 is nearly 10% thinner than the Apple Watch Series 7, Series 8, and Series 9, measuring just 9.7 mm. Despite its slimmer design, it retains all the familiar features while adding new ones, with a battery life of 18 hours. Apple has also increased the charging speed for the Series 10: the device charges up to 80% in just 30 minutes.

In addition to being thinner, the Apple Watch Series 10 is also lighter: the aluminum case is 10% lighter than the Series 9, and the titanium case is nearly 20% lighter. The shape of the Apple Watch Series 10 has been slightly redesigned, featuring more rounded corners and a wider aspect ratio, available in 42 mm and 46 mm sizes.

Perfect for Sports

Apple Watch Series 10 is ideal for water activities: they feature a waterproof case, automatic stroke detection, and lap counting. With watchOS 11, the new Custom Workouts feature for pool swimming has been introduced.

A new sensor measures water temperature after submersion. The built-in “Depth” app helps navigate underwater by displaying time, depth, and other crucial metrics.

Sound Through Speakers and Voice Isolation

Now, the Apple Watch Series 10 can play audio through its built-in speaker. Apple uses a neural network to isolate the user’s voice during calls. Powered by a 4-core Neural Engine processor, it filters out background noise during phone conversations. This ensures only clear voice transmission with no interference, even in noisy environments like busy streets or cafés.

New Finishes and Straps

Apple also introduced the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra in Satin Black. The watch features a new black titanium finish and dark zirconium back glass, making it highly durable and scratch-resistant.

The titanium Milanese Loop strap is crafted from the same titanium as the case. It’s incredibly lightweight and corrosion-resistant, with a dual-button clasp designed to stay secure during water sports, ensuring it won’t come loose or get lost. The Titanium Milanese Loop is available in natural and black titanium finishes.

AirPods 4

Incredible sound quality, up to 24 hours of battery life with the charging case, and the iconic design. This year, AirPods 4 were released in two versions: the classic model and one with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) support.

Apple’s Best Open-Back Headphones

Apple has redesigned the AirPods for an even better fit. The shape has been slightly modified, and the casing has been made thinner. They now offer personalized spatial audio, which tracks head movements for a fully immersive sound experience.

At the core of this new model is the Apple H2 chip, enabling advanced audio features. For example, voice isolation ensures clearer call quality, no matter what’s happening around you. Additionally, to answer a call, all you need to do is nod. If you want to decline a call, simply shake your head from side to side.

Now with USB-C Charging

The case for the new AirPods supports USB-C charging. Additionally, AirPods 4 with ANC can be charged using an Apple Watch charger. The case itself has become smaller, now measuring just 50 mm in thickness, making it the most compact wireless charging case yet.

Noise Cancellation and “Transparency” Mode

With AirPods 4 featuring ANC, you can enjoy high-quality sound even in noisy environments. Want to hear what’s happening around you? Simply switch to “Transparency” mode.

A new feature, adaptive audio, combines both “Transparency” mode and ANC. The headphones automatically switch between modes based on the surrounding environment.

You don’t even need to remove the device to have a conversation. The Conversation Awareness feature lowers the volume when you start speaking.

Apple Intelligence

One of the standout features of the presentation was Apple Intelligence. This neural network technology is powered by the special A18 chip and other software enhancements.

Apple Intelligence is truly impressive. New tools for writing are being introduced, where AI can not only correct errors but also edit text for style. Notifications will include a summary feature that highlights the most important messages first, even if they arrived earlier. Siri has become more natural and functional, able to understand you even if you stumble over words. In the Photos app, the new “Clean Up” tool allows you to remove unwanted elements from a photo with a single tap.

Currently, Apple Intelligence is available in beta with limited functionality. The neural network will be fully released with iOS 18.1, expected in October. Initially, the features will be available in the U.S., but the rollout will gradually expand to other regions. Next year, Apple Intelligence will launch in China, Japan, France, and Spain. Russian language support is not available.

The new products from Apple’s fall presentation are truly impressive! There’s definitely a lot to see!
